Water features are today's hottest trend in landscaping. Across America, high maintenance, boring expanses of lawn are being transformed into beautiful, low maintenance waterscapes. Water features are among the favorite focal point in the popular xeriscaped landscape. In addition, water features, like other types of landscaping, mature with age, thus increasing the value of your property more than any other type of home improvement.
Relax alongside a water garden and experience a tranquility that transcends today's stressful world. Recuperate from your hectic day with free moments, listening to the soothing sound of a waterfall. Right in your own backyard, you can enjoy a natural and peaceful oasis!
The Pond
The pond is an ecosystem. It is a complete ecologically balanced waterscape based on the principles of establishing a working ecosystem within the pond, to keep it clean while reducing maintenance. The system is comprised of five main components: mechanical and biiological filtration, rocks and gravel, plants, fish, and a recirculating system. A polyethylene underlayment is placed beneath a 45 mil, fish-safe, EPDM rubber liner. Granite boulders are placed over most of the liner and gravel is spread between the granite boulders to help lock them into place. Filters, plumbing lines, and the liner are completely covered, leaving everything mechanical hidden from site above and below the water. Aquatic plants and halogen lighting are installed according to size. Now the pond is ready for fish.
- Attractive focal point. Moving water encompasses all senses.
- Aquatic plants are beautiful and low maintenance and also provide a truly unique accent to any water garden.
- Fish help support the natural ecosystem and reduce pond maintenance. Their color, sparkle, variety and playfulness offer endless fascination, enhancing the naturalness of the setting.
The Pondless Waterfall
Are you interested in installing a water feature in your yard, but concerned about the safety and liabilities of having a pond? Or are you apprehensive about taking on the responsibility of maintaining a full-fledged ecosystem? The pondless waterfall is basically a waterfall and stream, without the pond. Pondless waterfalls are the hottest trend in landscaping today.
- 90% of all Purely Ponds' installations are pondless watefalls
- Great alternative for a front yard pond; fits in small spaces where a pond might be crowded.
- Perfect for public setting where liabilities of a pond are a concern.
- Virtually maintenance -free! Simply refill the reservoir every few weeks to compensate for water loss due to evaporation.
- Energy efficient - no ecological need to run the system continuously.
- Set a timer - ideal for vacations and night/day settings.
- No ecosystem (fish and plants) to worry about.
The hottest trend in landscaping! We have the equipment available for the Do It Yourself installer who wants to purchase and install his/her very own Pondless Waterfall.
Is it hard for you to imagine a waterfall and stream without a pond? Are you wondering, Where does the water come from? Where does the water go?
Well, it actually works much like the equipment in a pond. A hole, deeper than a normal pond, is dug, then lined with underlayment and a 45 mil liner. The pump vault is installed and then the basin is lined with rock and gravel, and filled with water. The water is then circulated from beneath the rocks and gravel by a pump that is housed in the snorkel vault. A pipe runs from the vault up to a BIOFALLS filter and into an overflowing waterfall and stream, where it falls back into the reservoir and the cycle begins again - the ultimate circulatory system! Since the water level in the reservoir basin never pools above the level of the rock and gravel fill, it gives the appearance of a Pondless Waterfall.
Rain Xchange
Capture, filter, and reuse rainwater run-off. The Aquascpe RainXchange System is a revolutionalry design that combines a recirculating water feature with a sub-surface rainwater harvest storage system. While you enjoy the benefits of a decorative water feature, the system filters the stored water to prevent stagnation and growth of unhealthy bacteria. The RainXchange system reveals only a beautiful water feature that integrates easily into the existing landscape. Locating and storing the water underground maintains the integrity and beauty of your home and landscape.
